Construction
is currently underway on the Atlas V Service Tower at Site 41.
The Atlas-V launch vehicles will carry larger payloads into
orbit (compared to the Titan system), and are designed for increased
efficiency on several technological fronts. The system is scheduled
to achieve initial launch capability in late 2001.
