NOTICE TO ALL EXPLOSIVES INDUSTRY MEMBERS"
This advisory is posted as a precaution in response to the
terrorist attacks on high profile sites within the United
States on September 11, 2001, and not as a result of criminal
intelligence.
The
Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms (ATF) is reminding all
persons who distribute, import, manufacture, and/or store explosive
materials to be on alert for suspicious activities at or near
explosives storage and distribution areas. ATF is requesting
that all explosives storage areas be checked, that all inventory
of explosives be fully reconciled. Further, we ask that any
breeches to magazine structures and any thefts/losses be reported
to ATF at 1-888-ATF-BOMB immediately upon discovery.
ATF
is requesting that any suspicious activities be reported immediately
to State and/or local authorities and to ATF by calling 1-888-ATF-BOMB.
